Exception-handling procedures have been set up to address some potential issues that may arise.

EXC.CRVS.01	Child Birth Registration not recorded in CRVS	When a Child Birth Registration is not recorded in the CRVS, accessing the civil registration record becomes difficult due to the lack of a unique identification number or birth registration number. However, if the birth registration is updated in the population register or Foundational ID system, and newborns receive a foundational ID at birth from the identity system, it becomes possible to have an alternative source of identification. In such situations, the SP-MIS may refer to other functioning registries for verification and for obtaining the necessary information.
