CD.DR.01 ImpairmentType
This code directory lists various types of impairments and functional limitations that persons with disabilities may have which may be combined depending on the way the Disability Registry information is collected and organized. This information can be of interest for SP-Systems interoperability to inform about the type of reasonable accommodation that a person may need to access SP scheme in case information on disability support needs may not yet be available in the Disability MIS.
These lists serve as a general guide for the type of impairment and basic functional difficulties information social protection system may request from disability MIS in interoperability scenarios and may not encompass all possible types. It is essential to recognize that such list will vary between countries depending on the legislation and disability assessment and certification regulations which may include different impairments, medical conditions and basic functioning limitations. Examples below are based on article 1 of the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), items frequently mentioned in disability related legislations, the ICF check list and the WG set of questions which may be used by countries as part of more extensive disability assessment.
Issues related to protection of privacy must be carefully considered and impairment or medical conditions information irrelevant for SP-System may not be shared.
