Example 1: Employment Support Program Refers an Applicant to a SP Program

Process Flow

This example illustrates how the PRS.EMP.02: Referral of Employment Support Programs Applicants to Social Assistance Programs process can be implemented. During the assessment, if an employment program officer determines that an applicant could also benefit from social services, they request the applicant’s consent to share their details with the SP programs and refer them for benefit consideration.

Referral to the social assistance program does not guarantee enrollment; the decision to enroll the referred individuals is made by the social protection program based on whether they meet the program eligibility criteria.

The example implementation combines processes PRS.EMP.01: Referral of Social Protection Program Beneficiaries to Employment Support Programs and PRS.EMP.05 Status Verification for Compliance Monitoring.
